Photo Compositions – Rule of Thirds

The Rule of Thirds is a compositional principle that is widely used, this is because we find that photos that follow the rule to be balanced and pleasing to our eye, simply because of the way our brains process images.

The key elements of an image are usually placed on or near those lines, or at one of their intersections as studies show that our eyes go to these intersections naturally, rather than the center of the shot.
